At Empowered Care AU, we support people to develop practical life skills, build confidence, and take greater control of their everyday lives. Our Life Skills & Independence services are designed around each person’s goals, abilities, interests, and individual needs.
We provide supportive, person-centred assistance that encourages participants to learn by doing, make their own choices, and become more confident in managing everyday activities.
Our Life Skills & Independence Support Includes
Daily Living Skills – Support with developing skills for everyday routines and activities.
Household Skills – Building confidence with cooking, cleaning, laundry, organising, and maintaining a home.
Meal Preparation – Learning safe and practical meal planning, preparation, and cooking skills.
Personal Organisation – Developing routines, time-management, planning, and organisational skills.
Community Participation – Building confidence to access community facilities, activities, and services.
Travel & Transport Skills – Supporting participants to develop confidence using public transport and navigating their community.
Communication & Social Skills – Encouraging positive communication, relationships, and social confidence.
Decision-Making & Problem-Solving – Supporting participants to make informed choices and develop everyday problem-solving skills.
Goal Setting – Working together to identify achievable goals and celebrate progress.
